Pacific OT students joined us in Belize last week for an unforgettable fieldwork experience! 🇧🇿✨ During their time on site, students had the opportunity to observe both speech and OT sessions, gaining hands-on insight into interdisciplinary care. They also had the special opportunity to meet our founder, Karen, making the experience even more meaningful!

In celebration of National Occupational Therapy Month, we are especially grateful for the passion and dedication these future OTs brought to the community. ❤️

Our founder and SLP, Karen George, traveled to Belize this week with her family as part of her ongoing commitment to global service. 🌍 They visited Stella Maris, where it was incredibly meaningful to watch her children connect and interact with the students.

Karen also had the opportunity to meet with the principal, Ms. Doreth, strengthening partnerships and learning more about how TVI can continue to support the amazing work happening within the school community. Experiences like these remind us that the impact of therapy extends far beyond borders. 🩵

From ancient ruins to meaningful connections 💛 Marquette University Speech Program’s trip to Belize was filled with learning, service, and growth.

Students had the privilege of supporting Stella Maris students while also gaining insight into Belize’s rich marine resources thanks to the Belize Fisheries Department. An experience that will leave a lasting impact! 🌊

Shoutout to the amazing Occupational Therapy students from the Medical University of South Carolina and Creighton University for serving in Belize! 🇧🇿✨

One of the highlights of the week was visiting the local fire station for a special Child Simulation Month activity 🚒.

We’re feeling lucky to have these future therapists who traveled to serve, learn, and make a difference in the lives of the children and families we work with. 💙

We are so grateful to have welcomed an incredible group of speech students from Gannon University who traveled all the way to Belize to support our mission 🩵

During their visit, they led fun, interactive mini camps that helped children build communication skills and confidence in joyful, meaningful ways. They also spent time at Stella Maris School and supported our clinic — assisting in therapy sessions and collaborating with our local team to share their knowledge and expertise.

Their compassion, energy, and dedication made a lasting impact — bringing smiles, growth, and unforgettable memories to everyone involved. ✨🌎🤝

To kick off 2026, we had the joy of welcoming an incredible group of OT students from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) to Belize 🇧🇿✨

Working alongside our SLP and OT team, these dedicated students brought their energy, skills, and compassion to both Stella Maris School and the TVI clinic. From supporting classroom-based interventions that strengthened fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation skills, to collaborating on individualized clinic sessions, their impact was felt by children, families, and our team alike.

Last week, DePaul speech students enjoyed a hands-on clinical experience providing therapy and learning a variety of AAC strategies to help empower students in Belize. 💬💙

Every connection, every shared message, and every moment of understanding reminded us why communication access matters for every student. 🌎

Huge thank you to our recent volunteer group from Valparaiso University’s OTD program! 🌟 We’re so thankful for the week they spent in Belize — diving into OT sessions, supporting consultations, and gaining hands-on experience alongside our clinical team. Grateful for their hard work and heart! 🇧🇿💛
