Food waste is one of the biggest environmental problems you've never heard of. Americans generate more than 30 million tons of food waste each year, yet less than 3% is recycled.We are here to provide a solution, give you a new perspective and your "trash" a new life. In a nutshell compost is the breakdown of organic waste into nutrient rich soil that helps reduce the need for chemical fertilizers that can be harmful to our health, environment and soil.
Our Compost initiative was born from seeing our growing waste problem and wanting to find a win win solution for everyone. We wanted to make Urban composting easy and accesible to anyone in the city that had been put off by the time, work, odor, and space constraints and misconceptions associated with composting.That's where we come into knockdown those roadblocks and get you composting with us today the easy way. No Odors, No Work, No Pests, No worries.
How it Works?
It's easy...
- We provide you with a 5 gallon bucket for you to collect your food scraps
- We pick it up Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly and leave a clean bucket behind.
- We take care of the rest!
For the time being as our operation grows your organic waste will be transported to a commercial composting facility in the south-side of Chicago where it will be on it's way to becoming nutrient rich soil. Eventually we will be able to bring it to our composting facility where we will create our own compost. Once we are operational you will be able to claim your own bucket of compost for every 75lbs. of food waste we collect from you. You can choose to keep the compost or we can donate it for you to local community gardens, schools, or farms.

We work with houses, apartment buildings, condos, co-ops.
We work with commercial customers such as restaurants, office buildings.
