University of Chicago Women in Business

Women in Business (WiB) strives to empower women on campus by teaching important business skills ranging from resumes, the basics of financial accounting, casing, Excel, and more as well as providing access to extensive mentorship on campus and a diverse alumni network. We host numerous networking events each year, including the Fall Conference (with panelists from finance, consulting, marketing, tech, entrepreneurship, and corporate roles), coffee chats and practice interviews with employers, and panels ranging from discussions about social impact in business to chats with women at firms, including Boston Consulting Group, Ares Management, and Meta. Alongside building a community on and off campus, we’ve provided more technical opportunities such as pitch competitions, projects with start-ups, and interview training in industry group meetings.

The event is formatted as a 45-minute expo, providing women the opportunity to visit booths of women RSOs like Women in Business, Women in Economics, Women in Law, Women in STEM, and learn more about their programming, followed by a 45-minute networking mixer to speak with upperclassmen from multiple different backgrounds and hear about intersectional career paths. Attend this event to get the information, support, and community as you explore different career paths and their intersection. Refreshments will be provided.

The UChicago Women in Business (UCWiB) seeks to unite and teach undergraduate women leaders by providing them with opportunities to expand their business knowledge and equip them with the skills to succeed.
