Elevate is a women’s leadership organization that has been established since 2017. Our RSO hosts an annual conference aimed at bringing the next generation of female leaders together.

Hi everyone - Elevate UChicago is currently recruiting for our 2019-2020 Elevate UChicago Board! Join us in planning the third annual Elevate UChicago women-empowerment conference; RSVP to our interest meeting on Wednesday May 22nd from 5-6PM in Reg Room 402!

Our mission is to connect and empower undergraduate and graduate women across the university by organizing and hosting an annual Elevate UChicago Conference: an intimate platform to share the experiences of diverse women-leaders with collegiate women across the University community and help them cultivate professional skills and relationships amongst each other.

As a member, you get to engage with impressive professionals in a variety of fields; our past speakers include Valerie Jarrett and Lisa Madigan. You also get to work with a diverse team of women from the Booth School of Business, Harris School of Public Policy, the College, and with the Dean of Students!

"By ensuring women have equal access to educational, professional, and social resources, we create an environment in which women feel like they can aspire to achieve their personal goals, especially in areas in which they are traditionally underrepresented. My sister Emily, a Boston College student who founded a platform to highlight women achievements and opportunities in STEM fields (STEMilyK.org), strongly advocates for these issues, and she inspires me to follow suit at the University of Chicago and beyond."

"Our college community plays a crucial role in shaping us as adults, and so creating an environment that is supportive of all women is really important in enabling us to achieve our full potential. Clearly, this isn’t an easy task, but I think that Elevate can help us foster a healthy dialogue about the specific challenges affecting women today, and make us think about how we can personally strive against them. I am exited to meet so many strong and inspiring women at the conference!"
