All the feels! :) Congrats Sister Jean!
Loyola has conferred its highest honor, the Sword of Loyola, on Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt, BVM, beloved member of the Loyola community for over half a century.
The Sword of Loyola is awarded to individuals who hold to the spiritual qualities of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
"I am honored to be joining the previous recipients who have been models of concern and love for others in their role as extraordinary persons," said Sister Jean, last night at Loyola's Founders' Dinner. "I, too, promise to live according to all this award expects of me: courage, dedication, and service."
