Northeastern Illinois University's Mcnair Scholars Program

Most program participants are either first generation college students or are members of a group underrepresented in graduate education.

The Northeastern Illinois University McNair Scholars Program provides academic support, research opportunities, and involvement in scholarly activities to qualifying students who have the desire and potential to earn an advanced degree. Northeastern's McNair Scholars Program selects twelve students each year and works closely with them to ensure their successful completion of the baccalaureate degree and application and admission to graduate school.

Volunteers are needed for the Illinois Academic Decathlon State Championship. If you have an interest to support an academic community of high school students please feel free to register as a volunteer. This year the event will be held in-person Saturday, March 4th from 9:45am to 3pm on the main campus and it is open to everyone 18 and older. We are looking for volunteers to serve as an interview judge, speech judge and timer. To register or for more information, scan the QR code down below.
