The mission of the DePaul University Interfraternity Council (IFC) is to act as the governing body of NIC fraternities on our campus while upholding academic and philanthropic standards, providing resources to our chapters, and ensuring the best undergraduate experience for fraternity members.

The Interfraternity Council is more commonly referred to as, "IFC" and we are the governing body for

all of the social fraternities on our campus. Currently our fraternity community is composed of Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi), Sigma Chi (SigChi), Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE), Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp), Phi Kappa Psi (Phi Psi), Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji), and Pi Kappa Phi on campus! In addition to serving as the governing body of the chapters at DePaul, we encourage our Fraternities to improve communities throughout Chicago by requiring each member complete at least 5 hours of service per quarter and raise at least $10 for philanthropy. While these are just minimum requirements our chapters exceed these amounts and in the past 2 years our chapters have raised nearly $50,000 for various philanthropies, completed nearly 10000 hours of service, all while maintaining a community GPA above 3.0. One of our goals as the IFC, is to provide chapters with the resources they need to ensure that the men that join our organizations have the best possible experience as an undergraduate student, both socially and academically. Many students have the misconception that all Fraternities haze and while that may be an unfortunate reality at some schools; DePaul University and the IFC have strictly enforced zero-tolerance hazing policy. We respect an individuals worth and dignity and believe that hazing is the most counterproductive and embarrassing element of some greek communities. We are proud to say our community does not part take in those activities and focuses our energy on creating leaders for tomorrow while upholding the mission and values of DePaul University. IFC is happy to announce our first ever spike ball tournament May 15th in between Lecompte and Munroe! All chapters are invited to participate, there is no limit to the amount of teams.

February was a huge month for our chapters. We would like to highlight the philanthropy, brotherhood, and community service that our chapters have accomplished this month. 🔥

ΣΦΕ - Had their philanthropy week for the inner city education program.

ΠΚΦ - Took a ski trip for their retreat this month.

ΦΚΨ - Welcomed in their winter class and were joined by other Chicagoland chapters.

ΣΧ - Welcomed in their Psi class into their brotherhood.

ΑΕΠ - Tabled in the stu for our Gift of Life charity an at a Hillel Shabbat.

FIJI - Hosted a graduate event where they got a suite for a DePaul Basketball game.
