Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club

Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club CCYC is an inclusive all-volunteer yacht club with the mission of supporting boating activities at Montrose Harbor, Chicago.

Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club is located at Montrose Harbor, the most northerly of Chicago's harbors. Founded in 1934 Corinthian has over 400 members and is one of the friendliest and oldest yacht clubs on the Great Lakes. We host a number of national regattas as well as weekend and club racing for Offshore and One Design. The harbor is well protected from weather, with an average depth of about 1

8 feet. With the Chicago skyline to enjoy, respected racing program, active Junior Fleet, Power Fleet and social calendar, Chicago Corinthian has what is takes to make a boating season memorable!

The countdown is on! 3 days to go!

🏆 A Race Rich in History
Did you know?
The first Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac was sailed in 1898 with just five boats. Today, it has grown into one of the oldest continuously run freshwater distance races in the world, attracting hundreds of boats and sailors from across the globe.

For generations, competitors have tested their skill, patience, and determination against the ever-changing conditions of Lake Michigan
Every boat has its own story. Every crew creates new memories. Every finish at Mackinac Island becomes part of sailing history.

This year, we're proud to see Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club crews continue that tradition.

Corinthian Weekend Rewind

What a weekend on the water! From championship racing to distance races and cruising adventures, Corinthian sailors were busy making waves across Lake Michigan.

-ILCA No Coast Championship-
If you were down at the club you may have noticed the lawn packed with Lasers from all over. CCYC was proud to host the ILCA No Coast Championship, bringing together some outstanding competition and exciting racing. Congratulations to Tarkan Bolat and Roman Plutenko for representing CCYC on the podium and delivering impressive performances over the weekend!

-Chicago–Waukegan & Waukegan–Chicago Races-
Nearly 50 boats lined up for the annual Chicago–Waukegan Race, taking on a 25-mile upwind trek north before enjoying one of the best parties of the season hosted by the Waukegan Yacht Club.Congratulations to our CCYC boats that brought home flags:

The return trip to Chicago tested sailors' patience with light and fickle winds. Corinthian boats Rainbow, El Toro & Yahoo all placed in their sections.

-Cruising Fleet Adventure-
The Corinthian Cruising Fleet also made the trip north for their first true distance event of the season. Cruisers—and even a few four-legged crew members enjoyed the festivities at Waukegan Yacht Club, and shared a memorable weekend on the lake with fellow sailors.

Congratulations to all of our racers, cruisers, skippers, crews, and volunteers who made this another fantastic weekend for CCYC. Here's to more miles, more memories, and more flags throughout the summer season!

⛳️ Where the swings are wild & the cause is worth it.

Swing Hard. Give Big. Help End MS.

The 2026 Denzaroo Classic Presented by the CCYC Power Fleet was a tremendous success, bringing together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters for a day of great golf and an even greater cause.

Congratulations to David Lynch, owner of The Reservoir, and his team for taking top honors with an impressive 7-under-par round. A fantastic performance and a well-deserved victory!

The real winners, however, are the individuals and families impacted by multiple sclerosis. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the Built Duke Tough team has already raised more than $8,000 in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, helping fund critical programs and services for those living with MS.

There's still time to help us make an even bigger impact. Donations remain open, and every dollar brings us closer to a world free of MS.

Thank you to everyone who played, donated, sponsored, and supported this year's event. We can't wait to see you at next year's Denzaroo Classic!
