Ailbe School is a Christian community which strives with our parents... to help provide your children with challenging and exciting educational programs that will nurture and enhance their intellectual and spiritual growth. One class of each grade. The curriculum at St. Ailbe focuses on basic instruction in language and math using the most current materials available. Science and Social Studies complete the core curriculum. Computer, music, library and gym with a gym/swim programs for grade 5-8 add a full dimension to the learning experience. Throughout their studies emphasis is placed on Catholic Christian values that extend to all subjects. Wherever possible, we incorporate into the curriculum the richness of African American culture and history. To get students off to a good academic start St. Ailbe Early childhood Center offers an educational program for three and four year olds. Ailbe Early Childhood Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Registration will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. We must meet parents and students prior to accepting students in the ECC Center and Elementary School. Special programs and activities include:
* Stock market program
* Advanced math "Breakfast Club"
* Kente Club
* Novel Program
* Title I Lab - Computer lab strenghtens skills in math and reading for those who qualify.
* Gospel Choir - St Ailbe's Choir is much sought after and offers the students a unique opportunity to Praise the Lord at various city and community functions (Hales Franciscan, HS, Harris Bank, Jackson Mississippi, Cedar rapids, Ohio, Loyola University and more)
* Flag football, basketball, skating, band, African dance and bowling
