A RakSINGER insights her way thru vocal cord paresis, finding that the Law of Attraction actually works with her, as well as with all of the Universe… Her so-called "bad luck" has been created & reinforced by her own thinking and beliefs --- and, is change-able!! She is healing her vocal cords along the way!!
"I KNOW you will appreciate this one… I am on Chapter 9 of Louise Hay's HEAL YOUR LIFE where you begin to build a "daily routine" for yourself and also create some more affirmations. I decided to create, and put into my belief-system, a money affirmation. I started implementing it on the train ride in, and then began my walk to the office. Took a different way than I normally do for some reason, and I actually realized the choice when it happened at the crossroad… decided to go with my gut and chose the route I ended-up taking. About 2 blocks later, I was walking and just happened to look down and lo and behold, there was a dollar on the ground that I picked-up!! Wow, wow, and WOW!!!
It amazes me when things like this happen, and then a thought occurred to me…
I truly believe in the Law of Attraction, but where I fell short in the past was believing it was true for everyone else but me. I would watch one of my favorite shows, Long Island Medium on TLC and marvel at what this lady was seeing and how she was helping so many people. It would make me happy for them. But then, I would think… "well, with my luck, she probably wouldn't see anything if I went to her." Or, even watching Wheel of Fortune with my Mom… she'd say to me "you should go on that show, you're so good at it." And once again, I said, "with my luck, I'd get all bankrupts and lose-a-turns."
These incidents sound so trivial at a first hearing of them… but they are actually huge because they are indicative of my beliefs at the time.
It's amazing how many times we put ourselves down or block good things from happening to us with thoughts like that without realizing it… and then reinforce them by saying them aloud!!
I just feel like I "know" something now, and I feel special for knowing it and actually putting it into practice. Yes, life is a "work-in-progress" and now I know that is an exciting prospect … not a daunting one. Yes, there will be times of sadness, anger, negativity, … we are human, after all. BUT, we don't have to hold on to those feelings… we can let them pass and use them to change direction and thought patterns for our greater good.

SINGERS Claim to 'run out of breath' on simple vocal phrases -- NOT SO.
This water hunter has trained himself to hold his breath under deep water pressure for up to 5 minutes. In this video (which FB can't seem to let me post here), he does not breathe for 2-½ minutes underwater.
Singers do NOT 'run out of breath' -- they compress their ribs & JAM the diaphragm.
Come, learn how to use your breath more efficiently, effectively for GREAT SINGING !

“In my experience (over 30 years and counting of booking music from Jazz, Soul, and R&B to Gospel, Rock, Indie, and Blues),
having talent and a good voice is just the beginning... in order to be an effective performer, a singer needs to learn basics, such as singing consistently in tune, conveying the story of the song with passion and belief – just as important as learning their stage craft. This includes how to talk to the audience to make sure they are included, mic technique (both live and studio), picking the right song – just as important as the correct key.
Then, once you’ve mastered all that, the singer needs to chose the right band for them and then go out and get work!"

RakSINGER Julie Rankin has been digging deep in our long working togetherness, & allowing wondrous SELF-REVELATIONS to illumine her vocal path: "Hi, Sheryl~ Did my hypnotherapy [again] with you last night, and today I had another epiphany… perhaps THE epiphany. I really thought I loved myself, even after reading Louise Hay once-through and working the chapters now. Yet, I realized that I'm not sure who I am without my voice… not sure what I can offer without it, not sure if I'm special without it…. and wonder if *** would still love me and want to hang around me without it. (Or anyone, for that matter.) I guess that day I emailed you talking about how my voice is everything [to me] really rang true… and at that point, I hadn't realized the impact of that statement inside of me. You did, as your reply indicated. I'm being a little dramatic because I certainly don't hate myself or anything like that…. I love myself to a degree for sure, but now it's time for unconditional love of myself.
So…. now that I am aware of this, it's time to dig deep and really get to know myself…. separate from my voice. Yes, my voice is a "pathway" ....emotions ring out through it, hopes, dreams, everything inside of me rings out. But perhaps it's not ME….. I know the Universe takes care of the hows, but I'm really a little floored by all of this… and have even wondered (I know, I know) how I'm going to get through this one. The realization of it all is the beginning of the healing, I know that much…. my hypnotherapy, singing, and reading is helping me to the right path. Stop the wondering and just feel good…. feel good. ..this experience has been really very moving and sometimes overwhelming. I know this is a life-changing experience for me…. kinda wish I'd had it 10 years ago, though!! :) :) But, it's the right time, the right place for it… everything is as it should be.

Julie has recently been experiencing a paresis (mild beginning paralysis) of a part of her left vocal cord, and is creating remarkably fast, deeeeeep healing in our continuing wholistic work together. Doctors would be amazed… .
