Scholarship Sunday is next weekend at Old St. Patrick’s Church!

Wear your uniforms and pack the pews at the 9am Mass as we come together in support of our community. We’ll hear from one of our students and help advance the mission of the Children at the Crossroads Foundation, which is so important to The Frances Xavier Warde School.

We are so fortunate to have an incredible alumni network at FXW, and Lucas Williamson ’13 is one of many who make us proud.

Following his recent NBA debut, Lucas returned to both of our campuses today. In typical Lucas fashion, he used the moment not to celebrate himself, but to inspire and teach.

He spoke with students across all grade levels, graciously answering their questions and sharing wisdom, motivation, and deep gratitude for the FXW community. He also reflected on the values he built here that continue to shape who he is today.

We have celebrated his success for years, and we are always grateful for the way he comes back to invest in our students.

A true motivator, a grateful person, and a proud Jaguar. We are so grateful for him.

Grade 7 took on St. Louis last week, exploring the Gateway Arch, St. Louis Zoo, and City Museum along the way.

A trip full of exploration, laughter, and time together that won’t soon be forgotten. A great time was had by all. Thank you to our faculty and staff who made it all possible.

A beautiful day spent at Six Flags Great America for Physics Day!

Grade 8 spent the day exploring the park, being with friends, and experiencing physics along the way. It was a fun day filled with memories, games, snacks and a few adrenaline rushes.

Some lucky students cashed in on a one-of-a-kind experience - joining Ms. Robyn to learn how to curl!

From learning the basics to getting on the ice, they had an incredible time trying something new, building skills, and cheering each other on. Safe to say… they’re already ready to go back!

This Gala sign-up party was a special opportunity, and these students made the most of every minute on the ice.

Grade 6 brought their Moving Masterpieces to life after months of creativity, problem solving, and innovation.

Since January, students have researched, planned, tested, and refined their work, programming LEDs, coding interactive elements, and workshopping each detail along the way. Working as teams, they pushed ideas further and learned from one another at every step.

An incredible showcase of curiosity, persistence, and imagination at work. Thank you to Ms. Wenc and the entire Grade 6 team of teachers who helped bring these showcases to life.

The Foundations Campaign: Fortifying Our Future is rooted in what makes FXW so strong, starting with our people.

Our teachers and staff bring our Mission to life each day, shaping the experience of every student who walks through our doors. With faculty retention at its highest level in over a decade, FXW continues to be a place where educators feel supported, valued, and committed to their work.

Investing in our people means investing directly in our students and in the future of our School.
Join us in strengthening what makes FXW so special.

FXW students loved taking to the streets in support of Misericordia during Candy Days!

Every year, our students stepped out to raise awareness and support for an organization that means so much to our community. We are proud to see them living out our charism of service with lots of energy and big smiles!

Grade 3 recently took learning outside the classroom with a visit to the Morton Arboretum.

Students explored the natural world up close, examining leaves and plants, taking a closer look through microscopes, and discovering fossils that tell the story of the earth beneath our feet.

It was a fun day just outside the city, spending time in nature, exploring, and learning alongside friends.

We’re proud to see former FXW student Hannah Jones leading meaningful work at Oak Park and River Forest High School.

Alongside a classmate, Hannah helped bring a two-day program to life that challenged students to think deeply about systemic and racial injustice. Centered around a powerful performance exploring how media, bias, and perception can shape injustice, the experience pushed students to engage with complex and important truths.

Students heard firsthand from individuals impacted by wrongful convictions and participated in conversations that brought real-world context to these critical issues.

Through workshops, performance, and dialogue, students examined big questions around media influence, systems of power, and the role of art and activism in creating change.

Hannah shared that it was especially meaningful to help create an experience where students could engage in the kind of thoughtful, challenging conversations she values in her own classroom every day.

This is student leadership in action, and we are so proud to see Hannah bringing the mission of FXW to life through work rooted in justice, reflection, and meaningful dialogue.
