Congratulations to my 12 students who are in the new Lieutenants class. I know what should be a happy time is marred by a sadness that you will never forget.
Let that be a reminder to you to be a leader that is kind and always takes the time for the officers under your command!
Never forget where you came from and never forget that the best that you can do is live a life with no regrets!
I am proud of each of you and know you will live up to my expectations!

I am sorry but I am not accepting any more students for the detective exam. We are half way through the course and it would be difficult to catch up.
If you are studying on your own, read the study guide carefully. It gives examples of what your test will be on. Browser the orders and look at the traits given.
Be careful with the A/I guides that are out there. They are not always accurate.
I have found errors in the AI transcription of my classes. I don’t use it because it contains errors.

Congratulations to those Sergeants in our Last Lieutenant study group who scored so well. I do not have a final count, but so far at least 20 percent of the sergeants in the group scored in the top 100. We have 3 sergeants who scored in the top ten and 4 more who scored in the top 20. I want them to know how proud I am of them. Their hard work has paid off.

Information and Registration will be available for part 2 of the 2026 Detective test on 01 March 2026.
Classes will begin on 10 March 26.
There will be 4 -4 hour classes scheduled.
You can study for a promotional test with the help of an experienced teacher and former CPD member and excel on test day!

You can study with A/I. That appears to be the new option or you can study with a real person who had over 32 years of experience in different ranks on the Chicago Police Department. Use A/I and study guides as a tool. Don’t use them as the end all!
Trust me, They are not! Make the right choice when studying for your future exam.
