Congratulations to our July 2026 Mediation Skills Training (MST) participants! In July, 18 community members completed the 40-hour training in the theoretical and practical elements of CCR’s work. We love spreading the word about alternative dispute resolution, and the MST allows people to dive in for an immersive week of learning, practicing new skills, and having fun!

Discerning eyes will see Executive Director Hope Pavich and Board member Kyle Donash’s smiling faces in this photo. They had a fantastic time - Hope gave particular props to the Training team, who bring expertise and ease to the process.

THANK YOU to everyone who made this week amazing! Your passion, insights, and desire to help people engage in constructive conversations is so motivating. We can’t wait to see where your mediation journey takes you!

Riddle: What rhymes with “citation hatch play” and makes everyone at CCR smile? DONATION MATCH DAY through Global Giving!!! Mark your calendars - from Wednesday July 15th at 9 AM through Thursday July 16th and 8:59 AM, online gifts from $100-$1500 will be matched by the platform. Don't worry, we'll be sure to post the link when it's available!

Funds will specifically be directed toward the juvenile victim-offender mediation program. We believe that providing youth who are involved in the criminal-legal system an opportunity to re-connect to their communities and repair harm for low-level crimes helps disrupt the cycle of getting stuck in the correctional system. We help hundreds of victims and offenders per year in this way already, and with your support we can help even more.

Faithe (she/they) is super excited to join CCR as a PM on the Early Resolution Program team! Her journey with mediation started during undergrad, where she spent four years as a certified Peer Conflict Mediator, an experience that showed her just how powerful constructive conversation can be, especially in the middle of conflict. She went on to earn her B.A. in Psychology and Africology & African American Studies in 2019, then spent eight years in Higher Education as an Admissions Counselor and Program Director.

Faithe is deeply passionate about education as a tool for social justice, and she's thrilled to help CCR teach community members about the benefits of conflict resolution and empower people to find their own solutions along the way.

When she's not working, you can find her reading, listening to music, or practicing yoga. And when the weather's nice, she's outside soaking up a Chicago summer, whether that's strolling through the neighborhood, hunting down a new farmers market, or coloring by the lake.

Pride can be a celebration, but it’s so much more! We are proud to put our words into action and be consistent in our efforts to make CCR a welcoming place for people across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. We strive to support residents of Cook County who seek mediation and legal aid services, regardless of gender and sexuality. As mediators, we see the massive impact that identity plays into both conflict and resolution processes, and work every day to build a more equitable world.
