A big day at Sankofa- Mayor Emmanuel and the City of Chicago join forces with the Austin African American Business Networking Association (AAABNA) to create the Soul City Corridor, a hub for black business and entertainment in Chicago. History in the making.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel comes to Sankofa to unveil a major revitalization plan for the Austin community. Our co-founder Malcolm Crawford was the brains behind the "Soul City" corridor. We are so proud of him.

And this is only the 4th day of tech camp. What's next?

To call these teens future leaders is an understatement. Today in tech camp the students set up their own blogs and 2 reps from Microsoft showed them how to set up online accounts and taught them how to use MS Office.

Our children can't be what they don't see. The Bible says write the vision and make it plain. Today the teens in our youth tech summer program are creating their own vision boards.

These teens are creating magic with their new laptops. They are learning valuable tech skills at our summer camp: web design, graphic design, social media, entrepreneurship. Tomorrow is the last day to register. Call 773-626-4497.
