As a parent and a teacher, I always have a mix of emotions as the new school year begins.

With all the recent struggles in schools lately, I fear for my own child’s education.

What is one fear you have about the upcoming school year?😧

🚨Me: My daughter is going into the 7th grade.🥲 As you probably heard, there is a teacher shortage across the nation. I worry that my daughter will not get the best quality of education because many school districts are not hiring fully qualified teachers anymore.

So instead of worrying about this all year I have invested in my child’s education outside of school. She will be meeting with her tutor a couple days out of the week to assure that her academic needs are getting met.

Schedule a free phone consultation so we can discuss how to get rid of some of your fears this upcoming school year.

Mistakes are how we learn.

Mistakes are not only opportunities for learning to happen. It is also the time when our brains grow.

When you see your child make a mistake; have them try it again and find their own mistake before you point it out.

Celebrate those Mistakes!🥳

A fraction is a mathematical way to represent a part of a whole.

The number on the bottom of the fraction, known as the denominator, tells you how many parts there are total.

The number on the top (the numerator) tells you how many parts you actually have.

It's often easiest to understand fractions by seeing them as parts of a whole object or group of objects, rather than simply as abstract numbers.

To understand fractions better, there are several visual models that you can use. {swipe left}

☀️Of course summer is suppose to be fun. Summer is also a great time to review and learn.

My family and I have been enjoying spending time swimming🏊🏽‍♂️, bowling🎳, and traveling✈️. However, my daughter also has a reading📚 tutor and does daily math activities to enrich her learning.

There is still time for your child to get prepared for the upcoming school year.
