Fresh produce doesn't have to be limited to the growing season. Learn how to safely preserve fruits and vegetables so you can enjoy garden and farmers market favorites throughout the year.

University of Illinois Extension is offering free Food Preservation Workshops this summer for anyone interested in preserving seasonal foods safely at home.

Whether preserving a backyard harvest or making the most of seasonal produce purchases, attendees will receive research-based information and practical tips for food preservation.

Workshop Topics Include:

Fermenting
