UIC Students, stand in support of CTU and SEIU Local 73 this Thursday as they look towards a potential strike following their authorization vote! Join us on UIC's quad on Thursday, October 17th at 11am to rally in solidarity with these unions. If there is a strike, there will likely be a larger rally downtown in the afternoon that we will join afterwards.
The UIC Solidarity Rally for CTU & SEIU is on Thursday at 11am on the quad!

Incredible, humbling day today as we marched with the global in Chicago. To everyone that made it out, and to everyone that made it possible: thank you for being there with us to make our voices heard. Many of us are going to keep fighting this fight for the rest of our lives, and there's nobody we'd rather be doing it with.

The Roosevelt Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), a student-led policy think tank, is pushing for increased funding to address long wait times at the University’s understaffed Counseling Center. The team created a policy to enact a $10 Mental Health Fee earmarked for hiring new counselors, which is backed by undergraduate and graduate student governments and has student approval, receiving a 66% vote of support in an Undergraduate Student Government election referendum. Recently, the Faculty Senate voted to pass a resolution backing the proposal.
