Made possible by Ambassador Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule, this scholarship recognizes outstanding students for their academic achievement, leadership in JROTC, and commitment to public service.
Named in honor of Retired Admiral Lisa Franchetti, the first woman and first ROTC graduate to serve as Chief of Naval Operations, each student will receive a $10,000 scholarship to help offset the costs of their college education as they continue their studies and serve through ROTC programs across the nation.

🎭 Lollapalooza announces $1.7 million grant to CPS Arts education curriculum!
In partnership with Ingenuity, Children First Fund, and Lollapalooza, this donation advances two key district initiatives, including a new $634,000 investment in the All-City Performing Arts Program, an initiative that offers after-school music, dance, and theater ensembles for students across Chicago, and a $1.1 million renewal of the Lollapalooza Arts Education Fund, which provides grants to CPS schools to expand in-school arts programs across artistic disciplines, creating more opportunities for students to explore visual arts, music, dance, and theater—ensuring young creatives across every Chicago neighborhood have the resources, access, and platforms to express themselves and grow their artistry.

This , building on insights shared during their fall roundtable on mental health, students reconvened with Interim Supt./CEO Dr. King, CEdO Dr. Asaf, Mayor Johnson, and members of the Chicago Board of Education to discuss actionable ways to continue strengthening mental health supports across the District—further centering student perspectives in district decision-making and the development of more responsive, effective supports for all CPS students.
