On August 25th, we hosted our annual fall recruitment party. We had various activities such as an icebreaker partner dance and so many fun games. We ended our night talking a little bit about FCCLA and had some pizza.

We just received word from national headquarters today that there was a scoring error in Professional Presentation Level 3. We were notified that Gracen Eckert was affected by this error and placed 3rd nationally! Congratulations on this achievement even though you didn’t get the recognition on the stage in Washington DC!
Updated results are as follows; other places will be released at a later date:

Gracen- Gold, Third
Emma and Brynlee- Silver, Third
Kenze- Gold, Top 10

NLC Day 5, we started the morning at the Awards Recognition Session. Three groups have received top three placings. As that concluded, we went to the Nebraska meeting where we were awarded our medals. To conclude the 2026 National Leadership Conference we attended the General Closing Session where we watched the installation of National Executive Council.

NLC Day 4, we spent the morning at Arlington Cemetery and watched the changing of the guard. In the afternoon, we went on the Nebraska River Dinner Cruise. After we finished up the night at The Museum of the Bible and the Holocaust Museum.

NLC Day 3, In the morning, we started off with 4 groups competing and the remainder attendees explored the expo and Red Talks. To end day 3, we went on a night tour to visit a variety of monuments.

NLC Day 2, we started off our morning at the convention center where we had three groups compete. During that time, we listened to RED Talks and explored the expo. We ended our night at the Washington Nationals Baseball Game.

National Leadership Conference day 1, we started off our morning by walking to the Washington Monument and enjoying the Smithsonian Institution of American History. we concluded our night with the Nebraska meeting and General Opening Session .

National qualifiers made it to Washington D.C.! We spent the day at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and enjoyed The Great American State Fair. Can’t wait for General Opening Session tonight!!!❤️
