AAST Fellow is the foundational membership category, open to surgeons in clinical practice in trauma, surgical critical care, or emergency general surgery.

To qualify, you must hold fellowship in the American College of Surgeons, have verified attendance at a past AAST Annual Meeting, and have completed an ACS Committee on Trauma ATLS Course.

Applications are reviewed by the AAST Membership Committee and assessed for leadership in relevant professional organizations, research productivity, educational involvement, and service to the community. Selected applicants are voted on during the Annual Meeting.
