Very sad news, fellow 1985 alumni - we. We lost a great friend. Jeanette Giffey passed away unexpectedly. A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Due to COVID-19 related restrictions, the on-campus 35th reunion has been cancelled. We share in your disappointment about not gathering together in person—especially during these challenging times when we need connection more than ever.

Instead, we invite you to a "Virtual Reunion" on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 5pm-7pm. Will it even come close to sitting in your old science lab or seeing your class photo on the wall or walking down the hallways at 1076? No, but we hope it will give you a chance to connect - or maybe even to reconnect - with what makes the Saint Ignatius community so special.

This free event includes:

Live Stream Mass from the 5th floor Cuneo Chapel at Saint Ignatius
Welcome address from the school President, John Chandler.
Presentation of the 2020 Alumni Medal Award Recipients.
Zoom breakout for your virtual gathering with your class.

First, a simple heads-up; I (Gordon) haven't heard anything about the upcoming reunion in October. Granted, that may be the least of our concerns with the current crisis, but I thought it might be good to ping everyone with an idea.

I've heard from at least one classmate about a casual reunion among friends; I was thinking that it might not be a bad idea to plan a large-scale Zoom gathering before October. (This wouldn't be an "official" SICP reunion; just a chance for people to connect before October). I'm posting this to see if anyone would be interested.

If you are interested, please either leave a comment below or reach out to me (or this page) privately. You're also welcome to share this post with those who are interested.

I wish I had better news (and many of you are more "in the know" that I am at this point), but I thought I would at least offer to coordinate.
