We used natural materials from our classroom to build our letter of the week, H. Did you know that hands on activities aid in memorization and retention?

We celebrated National Stem Day yesterday! Throughout the day we partook is stem related activities/lessons. We made our very own rain clouds and practiced engineering skills by building stable structures.

We created monochromatic collages during art class. We first began by painting our pieces of cardboard, then glued on various loose pieces that matched the color of our tile. We focused on learning new vocabulary such as monochromatic and shade.

While reading a partner yoga book called Yoga Friends by Mariam Gates and Rolf Gates we tried out some of the poses for our weekly yoga enrichment class. We learned a reptile pose and even some fun back to back chair poses.

What's more fun than sweeping? Painting and sweeping! During our weekly art enrichment class we mixed together colors with a broom to see what new colors we could make.

We discussed vocabulary for describing sizes of objects before we put our knowledge to the test. Using various objects from around our classroom we compared sizes to use our new words.
