Mission
The Field School is a multiracial, classical school that feeds the hearts and minds of children through rigorous study rooted in a Christ-centered environment. Students grow intellectually, socially and spiritually, deepening their passion for lifelong learning, selfless service, and a desire for lasting relationships amid diverse community. Educational Philosophy
Classical, Christ-centered education seeks to develop children to their full capacity as image-bearers of God: knowing, loving, and expressing that which is good, true, and beautiful. Students engage rigorous content that has endured through the centuries, inheriting the wisdom found in the liberal arts; grapple with diverse thinkers, texts, and artwork, and ultimately develop habits of personal responsibility, lifelong learning, and robust self-expression. Our desire is to develop mature persons who delight in learning and are prepared to navigate a complex, changing world. Additionally, through the school community, we hope to forge relationships that result in true education for all participants (students, parents, faculty, friends,) and a kingdom gathering of those who love the way of Jesus. We are a Christ-centered school. The person of Jesus Christ informs our mission and educational philosophy, as well as the daily life of the school. Each day begins with prayer, Scripture and song. Leadership and faculty believe that with Christ at the center of all things, all children can experience personal transformation and growth.
