ITAV operates 5 Early Childhood Education sites across Chicago, offering equity-centered, culturally responsive care for infants through Pre-K.

Families are at the heart of everything we do β€” it truly takes a village. Our independent school locations include ITAV River City and Village Leadership Academy in the South Loop, and ITAV Child Care Services & Early Learning Center on the West Side. Big smiles. Busy bodies. Growing minds. πŸ’œ

At ITAV Early Learning, play is powerful learning.

As our children climb, balance, pedal, slide, toss, and explore, they are building more than confidence. They are strengthening their gross motor skills, coordination, balance, body awareness, and independence.

Every jump, ride, and adventure helps lay the foundation for healthy physical development while encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and joyful social interactions with friends.

Learning is happening everywhere, even on the playground. 🌟

MEET OUR WORLD SCHOLARS πŸŒπŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

These incredible ITAV scholars are preparing for a transformational educational journey to Japan through our World Scholars Program 2026.

For many of our students, this will be their first time traveling internationally and experiencing another culture in such an immersive way.

This opportunity is about more than travel.
It is about leadership, confidence, cultural exploration, global learning, and helping our students expand their understanding of the world and their place within it.

Over the next few weeks, we will be highlighting our scholars and sharing more about their dreams, growth, and excitement for this experience.

We are now working to raise the final $11,000 of our $100,000 goal.

Thank you for believing in our students and supporting educational opportunities that can change lives. ❀️

Our children deserve safe spaces to dream, imagine, and play!

We are SO close.
Our students have raised nearly $89,000 toward their educational trip to Japan - and now we are trying to raise the FINAL $11,000.

For many of our students, this will be their first time traveling internationally. They have been studying, preparing, fundraising, and dreaming about this opportunity for months.

This trip is about more than travel.
It’s about leadership.
Exposure.
Confidence.
Global learning.
And helping our students see that the world belongs to them too.

If 220 people give just $50, we will reach our goal.
If 440 people give $25, we will reach our goal.

Please help us get across the finish line.

πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to our incredible ITAV Leadership Academy scholars, Hailey, Nathand, and Zuri, on being selected for High Jump Chicago!

This opportunity did not happen by accident. These scholars worked hard throughout a competitive application process that required strong academics, essays, recommendations, and commitment. πŸ“šβœ¨

A special thank you to Ms. Sutton for providing math recommendations, Ms. Carter for supporting scholars with ELA recommendations, and Mr. Reed for helping guide students through the application process and ensuring they had the support needed to complete each step successfully. πŸ’š

We also want to recognize our amazing parents and families who helped gather documents, support deadlines, encourage their children throughout the process, and continue partnering with us to help our scholars access life changing opportunities. Your support matters more than you know.

The High Jump application process required students to submit report cards, essays, teacher recommendations, and family information while demonstrating leadership, academic promise, and dedication.

At ITAVLA, we believe preparation creates opportunity. We are proud to provide our scholars with experiences, mentorship, and support systems that help open doors to transformational opportunities like this one.

The future is bright for these young leaders, and we cannot wait to see all they accomplish. 🌟

Tomorrow belongs to the children who are prepared today.

Our scholars continue to make us proud. πŸŽ“βœ¨

Several It Takes A Village Leadership Academy students recently participated in the highly competitive application process for Link Unlimited Scholars, a nationally recognized college access and leadership development program that supports high achieving Black students through academic enrichment, mentorship, leadership development, and college preparation opportunities.

This process required commitment, essays, interviews, recommendations, and courage. Our students showed up as scholars.

We are deeply grateful to Principal Nakisha Hobbs for supporting students through thoughtful letters of recommendation, to our core teachers for encouraging and guiding scholars throughout the process, and to our parents for partnering with us every step of the way.

A special thank you to Trina Coleman, our Admissions & Family Engagement Manager, for introducing our scholars to this opportunity and helping ensure our families had access to the process and support needed to pursue it.

At ITAV, we believe our children deserve access to every room, every opportunity, and every possibility the world has to offer.

Our students are not just learners. They are scholars, leaders, and future changemakers.

Tomorrow belongs to the children who are prepared today. πŸ–€
