We've rolled in a great new coffee just in time for Spring: Finca El Manzano, Honey-process Caturra, from Chalchuapa, Santa Ana, El Salvador. Done right, Honey-Processing hits the sweet spot of cleanliness and body. This Caturra is a great example with a lot of heft, and just enough balanced acidity to give it a fresh 'zing' on the palate. One of the nicest Centrals we've had in a long time.

Great coffee doesn’t have to be challenging! While we love the exotic in coffee, for daily drinking we look for something that is deliciously “coffee.” Our BFD fills the bill with super-premium Brazil and just a bit of high grown Central American coffee to give it shine. This all-purpose coffee works well using a wide range of brew methods. Highly recommended!

In our cafes, we maintained an old-school ‘ristretto’ approach to our NCK espresso blend. Now we’ve rebooted NCK, amping up quality by combining a fancy, high-grown, single-origin Brazil with premium central American coffees. Challenges and Opportunities
Dear Buzz Customers:
The aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought challenges and opportunities for many.
At Buzz, the effects of the pandemic have left our cafe business unsustainable. Sadly, after more than 12 years of operating, we've closed the cafe for good and moved out of our old, large roasting facility.
But this isn't the last chapter for Buzz: Coffee Roaster. The absence of the daily obligations of a cafe business has left us free to return to the curiosity that drew us to coffee in the first place. We are now in the process of setting up a new, more streamlined roastery. By mid-fall 2022, we hope to begin to offer unique coffees online that inspire and energize us but are impractically expensive to offer in a cafe setting. We plan to offer a super high-quality traditional espresso and just a few exotic coffees meticulously selected and painstakingly roasted.
This new menu isn't a business model so much as a passion project, and we don't know if it is even possible to turn a profit selling this sort of coffee. We've reconfigured the business to endure regardless! We started Buzz as "Life Support for Coffee Geeks," and this latest incarnation marks a return to that philosophy.
