As we get closer to the end of the school year, we’re preparing to celebrate an important milestone for our 8th graders, their transition to high school, end of year events, and the chance to make lasting memories together.

For many of our students, this moment represents much more than finishing middle school. Our school community is incredibly diverse, with families from all over the world and more than 30 languages spoken throughout our building. Many of our students are immigrants or refugees who arrived here with very little, and their families continue working hard every day to build new lives.

Because of this, the cost of end of year activities can be a real barrier. We never want a student to miss out on these experiences because of financial hardship.
We are asking for your support to help make sure every 8th grader can participate in their field trips, celebration, and graduation ceremony, moments they truly deserve.

If you are able to give, any amount makes a difference. If you are not able to donate, sharing this post helps more than you know.

Thank you for helping us show our students that they are seen, valued, and supported as they take this next step.

✨ Meet the Staff: Ms. Dragiewicz ✨

We’re excited to introduce Ms. Dragiewicz the school’s counselor, one of the amazing members of our Passages team

Ms. Dragiewicz truly loves working with our students and being someone they can turn to when they need support. She believes Passages is such a special place because of its diversity, the unique backgrounds of our students, our supportive staff, and the strong sense of community.
She absolutely adores our students and finds it incredibly rewarding to see them use the coping skills they practice together and grow both academically and emotionally. Ms. Dragiewicz also enjoys talking with students about their futures and helping them see all the possibilities ahead. She says it’s truly the best job ever!
Outside of school, Ms. Dragiewicz enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time with her two very spoiled dogs 🩷

The 8th grade scholars at Passages Charter School got a behind the scenes look at American Airlines operations at O'Hare International Airport last month. From the ticketing gate to sitting in the cockpit of a real airplane, this field trip was one our scholars said they'd never forget. Thank you to Maria Gutierrez and Kathy Garza from American Airlines for the incredible tour!
