Our first-graders recently completed a activity at home. Using the Pixar "Toy Story" movies as inspiration, students devised stories about toys in their own homes, imagining what the toys do when they come alive. Creative work!

Chicago City Day School's annual Science Fair is not far away, and so Mrs. Gray, who runs our library, discussed resources and techniques with sixth-graders to help them get started with their projects. Mrs. Gray is working with other grades, too, in the weeks before the Science Fair, which is scheduled for early March.

Whitney Young graduate Aleksa Sorgatz posted on Instagram asking other CPS alums to help edit high school seniors' college essays while teachers are on strike. She was flooded with volunteers.

We love when graduates of Chicago City Day School return to say hello! A group of alums who are now attending Jones College Prep and Lincoln Park high schools stopped by CCDS on Thursday to catch up with teachers and staff.
