๐THIS WEDNESDAY at noon! Join us for the first Civic Engagement Lunch Talk of the year, presented by Assistant Professor of Public Policy, Management, and Analytics Frederica Fusi
Register ahead for Zoom link at go.uic.edu/IPCELunchTalk
โThis talk will share how the project calls attention to the implementation of open government data as a critical tool for environmental justice (EJ) policymaking. Using website data and data from a national survey of public managers working in US state environmental agencies, we will discuss the following questions: to what extent do government agencies adopt open and inclusive data practices? When and to what extent are vulnerable communities actively involved in data governance? Results provide insights to strengthen the civic engagement of EJ community stakeholders and increase government responsiveness to the data divide."
Reposting from our friends at UIC Undergraduate Student Government: "On February 13th, USG will be hosting a Diversity and Inclusion Townhall for students to have a conversation regarding diversity and inclusivity issues on campus.
This is a great way to bring up some concerns about this topic to more students and to ask about resources regarding their identity or communities! Use your voice! ๐
Please be sure to input your questions ahead of time using the link in our bio!
Any questions or concerns, contact Diversity and Inclusion chair, Manasvi Thumu: [email protected]"
