Sunday evening UPDATE on the low budget Fun Feature Film (last week):

Because of the location change (being way further north), we appreciate everyone that kept their booking.

We only have one 'extra' role to fill. The other days are booked.

Need 1 CAB DRIVER - (caucasian male with an “interesting” look -- 30 years and older--prefer long beard) for this Friday, the 4th. Filming in LAKE GENEVA, WISCONSIN!
You need transportation to get to this area even if it is an early morning call time.

No repeats from any other day please. New faces.

Another we asked to pay at wrap of day, and they agreed :)

As usual, we are 'not' casting the 'volunteer' extras. They will have a lot of 'unpaid' that want to be on this set. So, if you are one of just a few non-speaking talent booked through us, let them know you are with us so no confusion. They will have the 'paid' list separate. You will be paid quick pay at the regular extra rate of $136.40 for up to 8 hours, plus time and one half if overtime. They know you are professional, dependable and arrive on time, know what to do on set and stay until wrap so they will try to give you the best placement.

'LAUNCH' YOUR CAREER!

If you have been on the fence about this event or it is new to your eyes, please consider for 2027 or refer someone that may be interested (4 years and 'older').

You will get in front of the ones that know how far this can take you in TV, commercials, etc. If you have been an extra for many years and feel like it is time to move ahead or if you are just starting out and want to try a new adventure...this is for you! You will learn everything you need to know from getting that audition and where to go from there.

Maybe you auditioned a previous year, was accepted, but the timing was not right for you. You may be able to bypass the audition process and contact them directly and let us know.

Many that expressed an interest could not get scheduled for last year.

The LAUNCH team are genuine people that want to help and the unique opportunity for that wonderful weekend is invaluable. Steve, Lynn and Greg are great! In addition, Lynn works with everyone from the day you sign up to prepare you for the LAUNCH SHOWCASE
scheduled for July 1st through the 4th, 2027 at the hotel near O'Hare Airport.

The ratio of agents, trainers and potential talent is tight so you can have one-on-one sessions also on that weekend of coaching while you are prepping.

You will get in front of and be able to talk to the TOP agents that are difficult to get signed with. You will recognize most of them from Chicago. There are some from other areas also. We would love to spend the 4th of July weekend with you if they select you!

If you would like a friend or family to enjoy the showcase with you, those details will be available to you also.

Starting as an extra and working with many producers and directors for 2 decades, we know what they are looking for.

Maybe you just want to overcome on-stage jitters or sharpen your skills for when you are at the right place at the right time and that opportunity arises.

We know most of you. You are the best!
Your experience on set, good attitude, looks, on time showing, professionalism, attentiveness, etc. will all come into play.

Maybe you want to know the differences in union vs. non union. Exclusivity? Maybe you want to know why your photo or resume is not effective. Looking for a top notch agent?

Whether you want to stay on the 'extra' gigs and get more opportunities or advance to a speaking role...or maybe you have another hidden talent/passion like singing, modeling...we can help get you to your desired goals or just want to have more enjoyment out of the process...we get you and have your back. You do not need to have experience at this point, just the desire and workable talent.

They have almost as many years in this aspect of the entertainment industry than our 20 years. We have never promoted anyone else like this. There are a lot of scams out there. These good folks work with you from the beginning and after. Like having your own personal coach as they understand every situation is different. We had several sign up these past several years and they would do it again. It was worth the investment in themselves. Had only good words to say. If you'd like to ask one of your peers about it, let ExtraOrdinary Casting know and I am sure we can make that happen. You may want to hear their testimonial since you may know them.

Everyone that was accepted by them with our referral has gotten something wonderful out of this and most have acquired a top agent to work with. Launch and the agents loved our prospects.

You may be able to incorporate a dance routine at the actual event. Or belt out a song if you'd like. If acting is your cup of tea, you can focus on that. They coach you these months prior to July.

Everyone in the group for your time slot will be asked basic questions and given a few lines to remember right before your zoom 'audition'. Hair and makeup done, if possible.
Try for the first opportunity to audition online: 9-03 (if any openings left), 9-14 would be another good evening. They have a few slots in between also.

You will know that night if you would be offered acceptance into Launch. Out of thousands of people they talk to all year long, they maintain the maximum cap for the weekend at about 100. That is it. About 100 talent from all over with approximately 40 top agents from all over (mostly the Chicago area) viewing you and one on ones, if they are considering signing you or if you have questions for them. These are the well known ones that you cannot just 'walk in the door' and audition for.

It IS possible with your determination. Now we just need to get you the right contacts and some more training channelled in your direction. Then, you know you are doing all you can to move ahead. It makes us happy to see that you are doing all you can to get what you want with this career.

7-30 UPDATE for movie:

Will be searching for a young version of the actors for Monday. Post going up by the weekend.

With weather and schedule changes and numbers dropping, we could not book everyone we wanted to 🙁 They only needed 3 Police Officers so far and they wrap up next week. There will be a couple days next week and possibly tomorrow (up in the air right now). So....no need to hold. We still have you from checking in with your previous interest and will ask if available for new date if needed. We had so many wonderful people interested. Thanks so much!

The EMT and one Detective may be August 4 or 5 instead.

Here is another exciting opportunity for just a few talent~

For this upcoming indie union ultra low budget movie, we will need only a few background extras. Police, Detective, EMT, Reporters, and a few in the restaurant.

They are paying the full extra rate ($136.40 for up to 8 hours at wrap). Paid at wrap of your day/night. You need to stay until you are wrapped. If overtime, time and one half will be added.

Love Purses Promotional Video:

Casting for 3 parts- non union
Each part pays $200/10 hrs. paid at end of shoot day. Actors will be taken care of on set.

Video will be shot in the NW Indiana area at beginning of August. We will try to work with chosen actors’ availability.

Capsule: This promotional video is being produced to help raise supportive funds for women of abuse and intimate crime. The Love Purses non-profit organization donates personal everyday supplies to the victims to help them with a fresh start. Love Purses has already helped over 20,000 recipients worldwide.

Please be aware that the subject matter in this project focuses on an escape from domestic abuse with the help of a supportive team of family and friends. The beginning of the video portrays some domestic violence: a cereal bowl being thrown on the ground and verbal abuse from the husband. Actors able to portray strong emotions are needed.

Anna, WIFE
Anna is ethnically ambiguous (or possibly Latina), brown hair, 30-38 yrs. old. Able to portray intense emotions as she navigates the dangerous life she has found herself enmeshed in with her son.

Ray, HUSBAND
Ray is ethnically ambiguous with brown hair, 32-40 yrs. old. Imposing. Able to portray intense, angry emotions.

Joey, SON
Joey is ethnically ambiguous with brown hair, 8-10 years old. Should have an understanding of what he will be witnessing on set: some domestic abuse (nothing physical) but it will be a tense scene. He will be the hero by standing up to his dad to defend his mom. There is a hopeful ending as he embraces his mom as they drive off to get help.

We need 2 Caucasian children 7--11 years old preferable and prefer female. Prefer SAG. If you child is SAG, please include their SAG #. We will consider Non-Union and upgrade if the need arises. The SAG extra rate is 'much' higher than non-union for a commercial. They would be Taft-Hartiled and not a must join if their first union commercial under contract.

ADULTS: If you submitted for Wednesday or Thursday, we are still waiting Thursday's decisions. Wednesday is going great. FRIDAY is also an option.
