We are thrilled to introduce Libby Clarke as our Bexley Seabury Scholarship recipient!

Libby is a postulant for ordination in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark and a teacher, printmaker, creative director, and community organizer who has spent her adult life at the intersection of art, faith, and community. She now brings that rich background into a new season of formation, pursuing her Master of Divinity at Bexley Seabury Seminary with a focus on creativity, welcome, and the church's public witness.

Libby believes ministry happens in relationship with real people and real places, and her hope is to help congregations find their voice, practice genuine welcome, and mean what they say.

We are proud to cheer her on every step of the way. Congrats, Libby!

We are thrilled to introduce Beth A. Lake as our Bexley Seabury Fellowship recipient!

Beth is an Army veteran, communications professional, and aspirant for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Diocese of Easton. After a career serving in military public affairs and federal communications, she now brings that same dedication to service into a new calling, pursuing her Master of Divinity at Bexley Seabury Seminary with a specialization in Church Planting.

Beth's vision for ministry is as expansive as the coastal community she calls home: dinner church, beach church, and spaces where everyone, especially those who have experienced exclusion, can rediscover belonging and wholeness in God's presence.

We are excited to be part of her journey. Congrats, Beth!

We are thrilled to introduce Angel Williams as our St. Marina Scholarship recipient!

Angel is a retired law enforcement officer with over 28 years of service to the people of New York and Texas, a trained chaplain, and a devoted member of the Episcopal Church. After finding her spiritual home in the Episcopal tradition, she now steps boldly into a new season of discernment and formation at Bexley Seabury Seminary.

Angel's hope is simple and profound: to one day stand at the doors of God's church and welcome ALL of God's children.

We are honored to walk alongside her on this journey. Congrats, Angel!

What a sacred morning it was at St. James Cathedral. We gathered as a community to celebrate, to pray, and to send forth the Bexley Seabury Class of 2026 into lives of ministry and service.

We are still in awe of these graduates and the journey that brought them to this moment.

We're excited to share that The Episcopal Church in Connecticut is partnering with Bexley Seabury Seminary to offer a special course this summer. The course is called "Worship Leader Training," and it takes place from June 7th through August 8th. Developed in partnership with Milner Seifert and drawing from our Pathways for Baptismal Living curriculum, this course is open to all, not just those in Connecticut.

Whether you're stepping into a worship leadership role for the first time or looking to deepen your practice, this is a wonderful opportunity to grow in community.

Our team is growing, and we're looking for a Director of Philanthropy to serve as our senior advancement leader and the President's closest partner in donor strategy, cultivation, and stewardship.

At Bexley Seabury Seminary, we're forming leaders who embody the Gospel with clarity, courage, and compassion. With a new President driving a bold vision for our future, this is a rare opportunity to shape the philanthropic foundation of our theologically distinctive institution.

The ideal candidate brings:
✅ 7–10+ years of fundraising experience with a strong major gifts track record
✅ Experience partnering with executive leadership on donor strategy
✅ A relational, empathetic presence that builds trust
✅ Deep resonance with our mission to form Gospel-centered leaders rooted in justice and compassion

This is a fully remote, full-time role with extensive travel and a meaningful chance to build something from the ground up in a small, mission-driven institution. If this sounds like you, or someone you know, we'd love to connect.

Participants will engage the wisdom of two-eyed seeing (Etuaptmumk), learning to hold together Indigenous and Western ways of knowing for the benefit of all. Through visits to sacred and historical sites—including Pipestone National Monument, Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations, Wounded Knee, and more—the course explores themes of land, language, spirituality, resilience, and healing.

We are thrilled to welcome the Very Rev. Dr. Mark C. Lee, PhD, as the next Dean and President of Bexley Seabury Seminary.

After 25 years of service as a military chaplain, Dr. Lee brings a profound and deeply personal vision to his new role: equipping lay and ordained leaders to be the voice, hands, and feet of Jesus in the world.
