Most allergen mistakes do not come from a complete lack of knowledge.

They happen when someone assumes a recipe has not changed, assumes a prep area is clear, or assumes another team member already checked an ingredient.

That is what makes allergen safety difficult during a busy shift. The risk often comes from familiarity and routine rather than something obviously unsafe.

Preparing the dish safely is only part of the process.

The order still needs to be protected on the line, identified clearly, delivered separately if needed.

An allergen-safe dish can still become unsafe if it is mixed up, carried with other plates, garnished from a shared station, or delivered without clear communication.

For , this is the point to reinforce: allergen safety runs from the first question through to the final plate.
