When others don’t get it, it’s not a reflection of your worth...
It’s a reflection of their limits.

How do you handle conversations that make you feel like they don't understand how freaking hard caregiving is?

Gratitude can suck.

It shows up right beside grief, and neither one knows where to sit.
When your heart’s too tired for a list, notice what feels less heavy.
That’s enough.

There’s always one chair that catches your breath.

The one that reminds you how much love still lives inside you.
The one that reminds you of the people missing this year.
The one that reminds you how important you are to your family.

You keep trying to stay normal.
But your mind won’t settle, your body feels off, and even simple things are harder than they should be.

Before scan results, loss of focus usually doesn’t arrive all at once.
It shows up in small, recognizable ways.

If more than one of these signs feels familiar, nothing has gone wrong.
This is what waiting can do to your system.

If this is happening right now, I made something for you.

Maybe you’re still getting things done.
Maybe you’re still showing up.
And maybe this week still feels harder than it should.

That alone is worth paying attention to.

Before scan results, you don't need to earn support by falling apart first.

If this is a hard week, let that be enough reason to take time to find a way to do more than survive.

Some days feel like standing in the middle of a rainstorm.

You have the opportunity to be happy there's rain or you can be angry that you're getting wet.

It's ok to be angry, sad, lonely.

It's ok to grieve the person sitting next to you right now.

You're doing a good job... take a break to feel.
Allow yourself to do nothing but notice.

How today feels for you, the things you need right now don't have to be approved by anyone else.

If you need to listen to someone who knows what this is like, find me on The Cancer Caregiver Podcast www.cancercaregiverpodcast.com

Caregiving requires a community.

Guilt has trained you to flinch every time you slow down.

But the world doesn’t fall apart when you breathe; it steadies.

Peace isn’t selfish. It’s survival.

How will you find a moment of peace today?
