Saddle up for 1st grade! Our hearts are so full as we celebrated our sweet kindergarten graduates!

We are so proud of each of our students and all they have accomplished, and we’re also grateful for our incredible primary team, teachers, paras, teacher aides, and our amazing parents for all of the love, support, and care that made this themed ceremony so meaningful. We have one of the best primary education teams in Chicago! And we’re beyond excited to watch our graduates shine as first graders! 💙💛🐾

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Jameer, one of our outstanding 8th grade scholars at Wrightwood, who earned one of the highest scores in the country in . Because of his achievement, he will be flown out to New York City to compete in the national league competition. 🏀✈️

This is what happens when talent meets opportunity, and opportunity meets top-tier instruction.

At Wrightwood, we don’t just teach but we build thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders. Our commitment to academic rigor, strong instruction, and student growth continues to set our students apart not just in Chicago… but across the country.

As Jameer prepares to graduate and begin his next chapter at Sarah E. Goode STEM Academy, we know this is only the beginning. The foundation has been set and his future is bright.

Sometimes when disagreements and beefs get in the way of lifelong friendships… everything can change in a moment.

But so can the decision to fix it, and after some time, these 8th graders decided to come together and simply, say sorry.

No yelling. No drama. Just real conversations, accountability, and a choice to move forward.

This is what growth looks like.
This is what healing looks like.
This is what choosing peace over pride looks like. ✌🏾

Because at the end of the day, some friendships are worth fighting for, and not fighting in. We’re proud of these young ladies for choosing peace and being the last students to sign our 2026 Peace Wall ✌🏾.

The countdown to high school is real! Many of our 8th graders have been here since kindergarten! They’re truly like brothers and sisters; like family. They’re down to the final stretch and as much as we’ll miss the graduating class of 2026, they’re fully prepared for the next level! Middle school is more than academics, it’s where confidence is built, leadership is developed, and lifelong friendships are formed. At CICS Wrightwood, our students are learning, growing, and leading every day. 💙🐾 We’re so excited for our 8th grade students who will soon be walking out together but walking out means…walking closer to their dreams!
