📚 Celebrating Constitution Week at MCC!

Our 203 N. LaSalle campus brought Constitution Week to life with a fun and interactive game of Constitution Jeopardy! 🎉 Our students put their knowledge to the test while learning more about the U.S. Constitution and the Preamble.

Students also had the opportunity to register to vote, making the celebration a great opportunity to connect civic engagement with learning. 🗳️

Today, September 17, we celebrate the signing of the U.S. Constitution — one of the most important documents in American history.

✨ Did you know?

• The Constitution was signed in Philadelphia on September 17, 1787.
• 39 delegates signed the document.
• It established the framework of the U.S. federal government and remains the oldest written national constitution still in use.
• The Constitution begins with the famous words, “We the People,” emphasizing that our government derives its authority from the people.
• Nine states were required to ratify the Constitution before it could take effect.
More than 200 years later, the Constitution continues to shape American government, rights, and civic life. 🇺🇸

This week, we’re getting to know Gary Grunewald, our Radiologic Technology Instructor, beyond the classroom. 🩻

From oil painting and spending time with his four grandchildren to his lifelong passion for medicine and radiologic technology, Gary brings both experience and genuine dedication to everything he does.

What he loves most about teaching? Seeing his students succeed. ❤️

His advice to recent graduates is simple but powerful: believe in the skills you’ve gained, be your own advocate, and let the world know what you’re capable of.

We’re proud to have educators like Gary who don’t just teach a profession — they inspire the next generation of radiographers.

Bringing dental education beyond the classroom!

Our Dental Assisting Program Lead Instructor, Rico Zavala, visited our international students at our Chicago Downtown Campus for a special oral health workshop.

Students had the opportunity to learn more about proper oral hygiene techniques while exploring different dental care products, including whitening toothpaste, Sensodyne, and soft-bristle toothbrushes.

We’re proud to continue building meaningful industry partnerships with leading brands like Colgate, GUM, and Listerine and while creating opportunities for our students to learn from real-world professionals and industry experts.

From the classroom to the community, we’re always looking for new ways to enrich our students’ educational experience!

Today, we celebrate the people whose hard work helps build stronger communities, workplaces, and futures.

A little Labor Day history: The holiday grew out of the labor movement of the late 19th century, when workers organized for better working conditions, fairer hours, and safer workplaces. The first Labor Day celebration was held in New York City in 1882, and in 1894, it became a national holiday in the United States.
So today, we honor the contributions of workers—past and present—and the progress made through determination, solidarity, and hard work.
