Today, Dr. Simon will be hosting the third live Career 911 “Keeping it Real” Hangout at 11am CDT. She will be joined by Joel Shapiro, JD, PhD. Dr. Shapiro is clinical associate professor and executive director of the program on data analytics at the Kellogg School of Management and former associate dean of academics of Northwestern University School of Professional Studies. We will be answering as many questions as we can from the questions posted in the discussion forums.

Module 5 has begun and we turn our attention to essential verbal and non-verbal communication skills that will help you in your pursuit of a health care career. You have a presence that can influence the people around you, and we’ll discuss how to grow that influence. We’ll also go over tips that will help you stand out in an interview, as well as strategies like breathing awareness exercises that will help you handle stressful situations in life leaving you more focused and better prepared for your task at hand.

Module 3: Leveraging your personal story & networks is up and running!
