Sammy Sutton and Mrs. Willie Mae Schaffer had an idea to give back to the Natives of the Mississippi Delta area. That idea evolved into a vision of development an organization to support the youths and impoverished families living there.

The Mississippi Delta Youth Organization was founded by Deacon Sammie Sutton with the vision of giving back to communties from Chicago,Illinois to Mississippi by building communities where all individuals,especially the youth are encouraged to develope to thier fullest potential.
