Meet Anne from Edovo's finance team.
The reason she loves her job has nothing to do with numbers and everything to do with people.
Watch her explain why helping create second chances is what makes this work so meaningful.

Just another day building an app that helps connect millions of incarcerated learners to education, job skills, and personal growth.
What’s a phrase from your job that would sound ridiculous out of context?
Edovo Insider was created for one audience first: our incarcerated learners.
In Episode 2, members of the Edovo team answer a question we’ve heard from many people inside: Why do you do this work?
This episode speaks directly to the people using Edovo every day, sharing the personal reasons our team believes education, growth, and second chances matter.
When most people picture a jail, they picture dangerous people. Emma who works inside a jail knows better.
The majority of people in jail on any given day are pretrial, meaning they haven't been convicted of a crime. They're waiting. A lot of them are waiting for nonviolent cases, for weeks or months or longer, because they don't have the money to post bail.
That's the reality inside. Not what you see in movies or what makes the news.
Follow if you want to understand what's actually happening inside the system...from the people who know it best.

Dillon is proof that growth knows no walls.
We recently launched something new at Edovo: *Edovo Insider*.
It’s a video series created to open up a more direct conversation with our incarcerated learners across the country, giving them a chance to hear from the people behind Edovo, fellow learners, content partners, and others on topics that matter to them most.
Each episode ends with a question back to learners, helping us better understand their experiences, needs, and goals in real time.
As much as we’d love to visit every jail and prison where Edovo is used, we simply can’t. This is one way we’re trying to stay more connected to the people we serve.
The response so far has been incredible, with more than 150,000 learners already engaging with the first three episodes in the series.
Give the first episode a watch; we're just getting started!

Mental health doesn't pause at the prison door, and neither does our work.
We're proud to stand alongside HomeWAV this Mental Health Awareness Month. Together, we're giving people something meaningful to engage with while they're inside, because real support means showing up on every front.
People inside deserve more than just time served. Grateful for partners who lead with purpose.
Mental health support shouldn’t stop at facility walls. During , HomeWAV is proud to spotlight how our technology and partnership with Edovo are helping facilities provide free, meaningful wellness and educational resources that support resilience and reentry success.

We added 106 new items to Edovo in April. A few highlights:
EntrepreneuHER Reentry Program 3.0 helps women build a business from the ground up. Financial Literacy: From Survival to Stability finally gives people the money basics many were never taught. And CMTech Works! Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate puts people on a path into the trades before release, not after.
Different skills and different goals, but the same idea. Opportunity shouldn't have a release date.

If you're an education provider and want to get your content in front of incarcerated learners, see how we make it happen: https://www.edovo.org/who-we-serve/content-partners
And if you believe people inside deserve access to real opportunities, so do we. As a nonprofit, donations are how we keep the doors open and the content coming. Every bit helps: www.edovo.org/donate
We asked our team members to explain words they heard their coworkers say that day. Some of us are more fluent than others. 😅
