From singing songs to rhythm activities, music helps build language skills, creativity, social-emotional development, and so much more. Music makes learning fun and engaging, giving children the tools to express themselves and connect with the world around them. 🌍

Let’s continue to embrace the power of music in the classroom and celebrate the educators who use it to inspire young minds! 🎤

Third graders put on their explorer hats and became archaeologists 🦴 in this tasty STEM activity! Using toothpicks to excavate cookies, 🍪 they learned about the science of excavation while uncovering hidden ‘fossils’ and ‘artifacts’ – all while having fun with math, engineering, and problem-solving skills!

We had a spiritual time at our church retreat. 🙏 Our school students came together to reflect and pray with reciting the rosary. ⛪️ Sister Laura talked to us about the meaning of Lent. ✝️ The 6th and 1st graders hosted Mass. And the Marian Society had a social for everyone after Mass. It was a beautiful moment of faith, community, and growth.

🌈 Our kindergarten students kicked off the first day of spring with a burst of color! They created a beautiful rainbow together, celebrating the season of renewal and joy. What a fun way to welcome spring! 🌸☀️

Celebrating Saint Joseph’s Day!! 🙏❤️ Our students at St Jerome honored this special day by dressing in red to show love and devotion to Saint Joseph. A beautiful tradition that reminds us of faith, family, and community.

St. Patrick’s Day fun with Kindergarten and 5th grade! 🍀 The students teamed up to create their very own leprechaun treat traps. After all the building, they enjoyed a sweet reward for their hard work! 🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

⛪️ Today we continued our Lenten journey by participating in Stations of the Cross. 🙏 Joined together as a school community, Stations of the Cross is a powerful reminder of the journey we are all on. Grateful for this spiritual tradition and the strength it brings us together in our faith. ✝️

Today, we received our ashes as a school community to mark the beginning of Lent. A reminder to reflect, renew, and grow closer in our faith during this Lenten season. ✝️

🪑 This week the second and third graders completed a the paper chair engineering challenge for a STEM project. Students worked with a partner to create a chair made from paper and tape that could hold a stuffed animal! 🧸 Students had a great time and were all successful! ⭐️

📚 Big congrats to our spelling bee participate! 🏆🎉Lyla, a 5th grader, secured 3rd place in 11th ward spelling bee! Big congrats to our spelling champ and everyone who participated from our school. 🐝✏️ It’s amazing to see hard work and dedication pay off. We’re so proud of all of you! 👏
