FLOORWORK | PARTNERING | IMPROVISATION | REPERTOIRE | WORK WITH OBJECTS
Hedwig Dances’ outstanding company artists guide participants through a four day immersion in floorwork, improvisation, repertoire, and inventive exploration of dance with objects. The Intensive emphasizes creativity, energy and movement efficiency in an upbeat, supportive environment.

“Moon Studies” by Jan Bartoszek considers the mysterious human connection to earth’s closest celestial companion, the moon.
“After the Fall” by Jan Bartoszek evokes a primordial time of innocence, raw emotion, and struggle.
"Table of the Years" by Heriberto Meneses is a letter to the past, to the memories, laughter and silences only true friends understand.
“De Profundis” by Milo Sachse-Hofheimer reflects on the journey through cycles of grief and how individuals come to terms with the truth and lies that surround them.

Jan Bartoszek’s “Moon Studies” is a meditation on the mysterious connections between the earth and its closest celestial companion, the moon.
Heriberto Meneses’ "Table of the Years" is a letter to the past, to shared memories, to the laughter and silences that only true friends may understand.
Milo Sachse-Hofheimer’s "decay", reflects on a world where the viewer shapes lies into truths.
The performances feature costumes by Jacky Kelsey, recently featured in the New York Times for their work at the Chicago Puppet Festival!

This August and September, Hedwig Dances takes its Bauhaus-inspired works abroad with performances in Leipzig, Magdeburg, and Dessau!
Part of our 40th Anniversary celebration, this international tour continues our exciting collaboration with the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation and brings META | MOR | PHOS and FUTURA excerpts to new audiences in Germany.
