Near The Pier Development Center has been dedicated to the care and development of children for over eighteen years. The center services children ages 6 weeks through 12 years, of diverse ethnic backgrounds, primarily in the Steeterville and Gold Coast areas of Chicago. Our principal goal is to lay the foundation for children to become highly esteemed, life-long learners who develop not only a zes

t for life but also a zest for education. Our teaching professionals are eager to develop the whole child, academically, socially, physically and emotionally. Near The Pier Development Center provides a loving, nurturing, and safe environment. In addition to a liberal academic program, our curriculum offers essential extra curricular activities for educational enrichment. Ongoing staff development and training ensures that our educators continually incorporate age-appropriate strategies that promote proper child development. They depend on our caring instructors to provide a safe, sanitized and nurturing environment as the developmental grounds for the children in our care. We view that as a vote of confidence, and recommit daily to fulfilling our commitment to using education as the bridge that connects dreams to reality.
