Happy Throwback Thursday!

This Thursday, we're looking back at Decades of Devotion, our 2024 event that brought our community together to honor several of the staff members who make our mission possible.

We're carrying that same spirit into Recess! On October 1st, we'll celebrate 45 years of impact at Burning Bush Brewery — and recognize our inaugural class of Concordia Place Champions. Stay tuned as we keep looking back at the moments that shaped Concordia Place!

We're honored to partner with funders who understand that investing in teens is investing in our community's future. Thank you for believing in our young people.

We're excited to highlight the incredible work happening at current We Raise grantee Concordia Place, where more than 90 teens are participating in its Teen Leadership initiatives this summer—the largest group the program has ever served.

From learning culinary arts and growing food hydroponically to creating ceramics and clothing, launching entrepreneurial ventures, and mentoring younger children, these young people are gaining real-world experience while developing leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

One exciting milestone: Concordia Place's Ruckus Teen Entrepreneurs recently celebrated their biggest sales weekend ever, selling more than 750 products and generating more than $4,000 in sales—an incredible example of young people putting their hard work into action.

We're grateful to partner with organizations like Concordia Place that are helping young people discover their gifts, grow in confidence, and prepare for bright futures.

This year marks 45 years of Concordia Place!

For nearly five decades, Concordia Place has been a place where children learn, families grow, and communities come together. Every classroom, friendship, and family supported has helped shape the story we’re celebrating this year. Throughout the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing memories, milestones, and stories that highlight the impact made over the last 45 years. Thank you for being a part of our story.

A genuine moment and a lasting memory.

One of our Concordia Place students recently had the incredible opportunity to meet Barack and Michelle Obama! Sharing is something he’s been practicing at Concordia Place, and when he met Michelle Obama, he offered her his “Future President” sticker. That small gesture made an already unforgettable moment even sweeter. It’s moments like these that remind us how meaningful those everyday lessons are!

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela. Several families in the Concordia Place community have loved ones impacted, and we're grateful for the opportunity to support relief efforts.
