A few moments from a meaningful gathering at American Islamic College (AIC) on August 21, bringing together students, faculty, staff, community members, and friends to celebrate a new academic year and an exciting new chapter.

The community had the opportunity to welcome Dr. James Jones, President of AIC and Executive Vice President of TISA, and hear about the vision for AIC’s future and the growing strategic partnership between American Islamic College and The Islamic Seminary of America

Together, AIC and TISA are building on their unique strengths to strengthen academic programs, expand community impact, and create new opportunities for Islamic higher education in America.

The gathering was made even more special with Jummah Khutbah by Ustadh Ubaydullah Evans, who shared a timely and inspiring reminder with the community.

Rabi ' al-Awwal is the month we remember the mercy of the Prophet (s), a mercy that reached the sick, the imprisoned, and those no one visited.

That work still needs people.

The last public count of Muslim chaplains in federal prisons is from 2020. Tomorrow night, the man who oversees the program gives us the real number.

Dr. Zubair Yousif of the Federal Bureau of Prisons joins chaplains serving in prisons, hospitals, and on university campuses, as well as students preparing to follow them.

As we welcome the blessed days of ‘Eid al-Adha, American Islamic College extends heartfelt ’Eid greetings to our entire community. ‘Eid al-Adha and the pilgrimage of Hajj remind us of the profound lessons embodied by Prophet Ibrahim (AS): faith in times of uncertainty, perseverance through trials, and devotion rooted in sincerity and sacrifice. These sacred traditions continue to teach humanity about patience, humility, and trust in Allah.
