Food Recovery Network at UIC

Food Recovery Network at UIC Since 2014, Food Recovery Network at UIC tackles two of the most important issues in America: food and hunger.

In summer 2014, UIC joined a nationwide movement to make change across the food industry. We have been donating food from campus dining and food businesses in Chicago to the communities in need. We empower individuals, communities and businesses to change the way they view and handle food surplus. Our goal is to make sweeping systems change across the food industry. Food recovery can and will repl

ace food waste as the food industry norm, in large part because it is in the best interest of food businesses to participate. We invite every UIC student, faculty, and staff to participate in the striving team. For internal inquiries (on-campus), contact President: Jullie Han [email protected]
For external inquiries (FRN chapters, food business), contact Vice President: Thomas Straus [email protected]
For volunteer inquiries, contact Volunteer Coordinator: Kara Liu [email protected]
For funding and sponsorships, contact Treasurer: Aria Davis [email protected]
