CHICAGO — “The Bean” reopened yesterday after nearly a year of renovations! 🌟

The construction, which started last August, included new stairs, accessible ramps, and a waterproofing system. Now, visitors can once again enjoy closeup access to this iconic sculpture by Anish Kapoor, formally known as “Cloud Gate.” 🏙️

We will meet on the 11th floor of the DePaul Center. We will have lots of food, games, and strategies for thriving in our Chicago winter. Everyone is welcome!

We are happy to announce that we are piloting two additional Lincoln Park campus drop-off points for the inter-campus shuttle.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 30, the inter-campus shuttle will not only drop students off in the Student Center parking lot, but also on the south side of Fullerton at Clifton and Kenmore avenues (red dots on the below map). These stops will provide a shorter walk for many residence hall students returning to their rooms, as well as nearly direct access to the Richardson Library.

Come join us for a relaxed and fun afternoon of games from all over the world. All students – new and old are welcome. Take a break from all the studies and join us Friday October 27th at 2pm for Fun & Games with Global DePaul. We will have pizza, treats and lots of fun and conversation. Last Friday, we attended an amazing event: Global Coffee Hour by Global DePaul. Students met some of their peers, mingled, played games, and learned about Chicago.
Global DePaul also has another Global coffee hour coming up:- Making Friends at DePaul on Oct. 13th 2023!

Last Friday's visit to Chinatown by Global DePaul. Folks enjoyed it a lot while exploring it and also tried traditional Chinese dressing.
