SMS Summer Camp is off to a fantastic start! Our campers had an amazing first day filled with sunshine, fun, and creativity. Campers enjoyed a trip to Welles Park, cooled off with water play, and got busy working on projects. 😎🌳💦🎨

We loved celebrating our young scholars at our Kindergarten Stepping Up Ceremony. A special St. Matthias tradition shared with families and friends! 💗

Our 3rd and 4th graders were busy this spring with Library and Tech projects, taught by Ms. Le Laurin! 🏘✂📚🏢

Our 3rd graders researched and then created Chicago buildings using only paper, tape, and glue. They also created board games based off of their favorite books. Our 4th graders wrote fairytale and folktale picture books. The fun part was reading their books to the PK students and their younger siblings!

⭐👚Friends of St. Matthias is collecting outgrown, but in-good condition uniforms to be sold to others at the next Uniform Sale. Collections bins will be at the main door the last week of school (June 8-10) and during SMS Summer Camp (weekdays between June 15- July 3, excluding June 19).

🎓💙⭐ We are so proud of our 8th grade graduates, the Class of 2026! This class is off to great places next year, and we can't wait to watch them soar!

Our graduates will continue their academic journeys at the following High Schools: Amundsen High School, Deerfield High School, DePaul College Prep, Lane Tech College Prep, Loyola Academy, Northside College Prep, St. Ignatius College Prep,
Von Steuben STEM, and Whitney Young High School!

It's throwback Thursday featuring our 8th graders ( who we miss already!) Last week, they enjoyed every last minute of their time at SMS! Their day was filled with sunshine and water activities - a fun way to spend the last week with each other!
