KENT VS UCF WATCH PARTY
Join fellow alumni 6 pm, Thursday, August 31 at The Pony Inn, 1638 W. Belmont, Chicago for the Kent vs UCF game. UCF alumni have kindly invited us to join them. (The Pony is an official bar of UCF and friends with one of our alumus.) The event is complimentary but reservations are encouraged. Friends and family welcome.

We are long overdue for an event. We look forward to reconnecting and cheering our team on!

Parking: There is plenty of metered street parking on the block. Park west of The Pony and it's free.

2023 MAC Champions! Golden Flashes Head to NCAA Tournament

The Golden Flashes are going to the Big Dance! This is the first appearance in the NCAA Tournament for men’s basketball since 2017. Our Mid-American Conference Champion and No. 13 seed Golden Flashes will take on the No. 4 seed Indiana Hoosiers Friday, March 17, at MVP Arena in Albany, New York, in the first round of this always exciting, full-of-surprises tournament! Game time is slated for 9:55 p.m. EDT.

Today marks 50 years since the shootings at Kent State on May 4, 1970. The 50th commemoration website features learning resources, events, related links, videos and more to honor and remember this significant moment in American history. Kent State Homecoming T-shirt Design Contest Be a big part of Homecoming 2016 on Oct. 1 by submitting your best Kent State design for our official Homecoming 2016 T-shirt. The T-shirt contest is open to all students, alumni, faculty and staff. Please submit your design by April 22.

Chicago "Spirits" Tasting December 14

Golden Flashes, it's time to get into the holiday "spirit" by tasting a variety of spirits at Koval Distillery in Chicago. Join us for a tour of the distillery and sample up to nine different spirits, including gin, vodka, whiskey and liqueur.

The tour will also provide a history of the company, distilling and other fun facts about whiskey in the United States. Participants will also receive a 10% discount in the retail store after the tour. Participants must be 21-years-old to attend. Registration is required in advance. Cost is $10 for alumni association members and $15 for non-members.

Deadline to register is December 11.
