It's Sew U2 Learn to sew, renew or improve your current sewing skills. Specializing in garment construction. It's Sew U was founded in 2006 in Fayetteville, TN.

Events, including flood and fire in 2013/14 helped make the decision to return to the Chicago area, It's just like starting over so This page carries a 2 indicating the second chance! I am a Certified Islander Sewing Systems Instructor and a Trained Sewing Educator. I have been sewing since I was 8 and continue to learn new things myself. I am dedicated to passing on what I know about sewing to ot

hers. Classes are limited due to space, but I am able to teach a group of 4. Most classes are one on one and specialize in clothing construction. My hours are flexible since I work in my basement studio. Days, Evenings and occasionally weekends are available. Just shoot me a text or contact me here.

JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores' going out of business sale is a joke. Their former sales were far better markdowns. Practically all notions are gone. Their fabric was never high quality and was overpriced to start with. The only times I personally shopped these stores was when there were pattern sales or I was desprate for an item to complete a project. I know JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores will be missed in areas where there is nothing else, but you have alternatives online. Simplicity Patterns runs pattern sales. Currently Diane von Furstenberg Vogue Patterns are on sale. Hart Fabrics is a great resource online. Shop the better fabric stores online like Mood Designer Fabrics, Elliott Berman Textiles | Exclusive Fashion Fabrics, Marcy Tilton Fabrics. Shop where you vacation. I have brought beautiful fabrics home from London and Paris.

Big shout out to the Singer Factory Store at 6 Corners! My Singer Quantum XL 6000 and my BabyLock Imagine serger both had issues at the same time. Mike and his staff got them both up and running pronto. Ready to get sewing.

Happy Birthday Christian Dior and CristĂłbal Balenciaga!

Franco-American designer Pauline Trigère was a brilliant technician with exquisite taste. The daughter of a tailor and a dressmaker, she elevated the quality of American ready-to-wear during her long career. Trigère also had a great interest in interior decoration. Featured in popular magazines, both her Manhattan apartment and suburban home were balanced blends of neutral and bold colors, patterns, and antique and contemporary furnishings.
