My little guy wanted to see the dinosaurs

This is Hector Hernandez, he was in my very first class of 2nd graders! He struggled a lot even back then but he was brilliant. Throughout the years he’d visit me, just to update me on school & life. The last conversation we had was that he didn’t think he was going to graduate high school. I told him, remember you can and will do anything you set your mind to, he said “I guess Ms.” Yesterday with tears in his eyes he found me. He said “Ms. I did it, thank you for never giving up on me!!” So when people ask what I do…I answer, “ I believe in people.”
