Hi Lakers! As finals week approaches we wanted to give you some tips to make sure you have a successful finals week:
📌Make a finals game plan - Plan out study sessions for all of your exams. Use a calendar to set alerts so you can stay on track.
📌Study in this order: definitely, probably, and might be on the final - Prioritize the topics you know will be on your exam. You don’t necessarily have to go through every topic of the course from start to finish.
📌Form a study group - studying with friends can help keep you motivated. Additionally, sharing your interpretations and notes from the class can help you further understand the course material.

Last Friday, our Honors Exchange Cohort had their final meeting of the year! They had the opportunity to connect with Professor Margaret Rung, a History professor and the Director of the Center for New Deal Studies here at Roosevelt. Students learned about the role that President Franklin D. Roosevelt had in the Holocaust. They had a chance to visit the 10th-floor archives and learn all about the Roosevelt artifacts. In addition, together, they examined primary sources surrounding the US perception of the events that led up to the Holocaust. Students then engaged in discussions sharing information about the source they chose. Thanks so much to Professor Rung for a highly impactful experience! We’d also like to extend a very special extra thank you to Dr. Susan Weininger for joining us and providing thoughtful insights as always! We look forward to hosting another Exchange Program next year!
Meet Madeline LaFrombois! Madeline is passionately advocating for the expansion of face-to-face mental health and physical support services right here on campus. As an executive board member of Roosevelt University’s Student Government, Madeline consistently pushes for necessary changes. If passed, SGA’s referendum would greatly increase mental health resources on campus by adding an additional $150 fee to tuition. Madeline is eager to spread the word about the upcoming voting that could significantly enhance our existing mental health resources on campus.
Voting dates: April 1st, 4th, 8th, 11th at the Wabash Cafeteria and in the Auditorium lounge on the 2nd floor. Additionally, students can vote via Laker Connect April 15th-19th.
We deeply admire Madeline’s activism on campus and eagerly anticipate her next endeavors!
