Meet Ahmad Adwan, Valedictorian, and Tasha Janel White, Salutatorian of Olive-Harvey College's —graduates whose paths reflect grit, growth, and commitment to community.
For Ahmad, moving from Amman, Jordan to the South Side of Chicago helped shape his resilience and determination. Through Olive‑Harvey’s Pathway to Policing program, he earned his associate degree in criminal justice in just one year, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA as a proud first‑generation college graduate. His journey is rooted in community and fueled by a calling to public service as he prepares to enter the Chicago Police Academy.
Tasha’s story began with a bold decision to start over. After earning her GED in just four weeks, she enrolled at Olive‑Harvey and distinguished herself through academic excellence and leadership, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while completing the Pathway to Policing program. As a student leader, scholar, and advocate, she used her voice to uplift her peers—on campus and citywide—while building a future for herself and her son grounded in justice and opportunity.
Congratulations to two graduates whose stories reflect the heart and mission of Olive‑Harvey College. 💜🌟🎓 Meet all of the 2026 Vals & Sals: https://graduation.ccc.edu/top-students/

Four Chicago high school seniors from Corliss High School are reaching a major milestone.
As Corliss Early College Scholars, they will graduate this Saturday from the City Colleges of Chicago, earning their associate degrees through Olive-Harvey College while still in high school.
A proud moment for these students, their families, and the entire community.

The City Colleges of Chicago School of Engineering offers transfer pathways to a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science. The curriculum is rigorous, but the optional Summer Bridge program can help ensure you're ready. With a math-intensive, chemistry-infused approach, the Bridge provides full support to students.
The deadline to apply for this year's Bridge is May 1. Learn more at www.ccc.edu/engineering.
